The Philippines News Agency
A division of the News and Information Bureau (NIB) of the Philippines government, The Philippines News Agency, (PNA), is the primary news source on the Philippines for the Presidential office, local and international media, all levels of government and the public.
PNA:
- Gathers information and prepares news reports on national and regional current events and developments.
- Distributes official statements from the Office of the Press Secretary and the Office of the President.
- Develops and writes features based on topical and newsworthy developments and issues.
- Provides a local perspective on international news and current events.
As well as operating 16 provincial news bureaux nationwide, PNA has journalists deployed in national government offices to report daily on government programs, projects and activities.
The agency supplies breaking news to media in Manila and across the nation, as well as to Philippine embassies and consulates abroad.
